Clerk / Responsible Financial Officer - Dermot Daly
My name is Dermot Daly. I have a background in Information Technology providing services to Local and Central Government organisations.
I have two daughters, one in Durham University and one who has been significantly affected by COVID-19 with both her A Level results and deferring her place at University.
My wife involves herself significantly in the local community, setting up a successful Good Neighbour Scheme, helping to manage a Community Library, and is also a Parish Council Clerk.
I have previously been a Parish Councillor and carried out temporary Clerk duties.
I take local government seriously having recently attained the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).
I currently train and assess Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions locally and I am the Secretary of the Belvoir Wassailers, a local male voice choir – currently meeting online.
I enjoy DIY, building websites, singing, ringing church bells, listening to music and most of all using my significant experience to help local communities.
Please don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
